In Newtown Mr Meglioranza will join the Enso Quartet and perform Samuel Barber's "Dover Beach".

Hailed for his "vocal distinction and expressive warmth" American baritone Thomas Meglioranza has quickly established himself as one of the country's most sought-after singers, possessing a remarkably versatile voice that is equally at home in a wide variety of repertoire, ranging from Monteverdi to Schubert to Babbit and Rogers and Hammerstein.

In June 2004, Mr Meglioranza travels to Panama for a recital sponsored by the Asociacion Nacional de Conciertos and then returns to the Marlboro Festival for his second summer in residence. He has made numerous appearances with orchestras in the United States and in Europe, in baroque music but also in opera. His portrayal of Don Giovanni, under the baton of Julius Rudel, was hailed by the Denver Post as "a triumph."
